Hey everyone! 

 

This episode I'll be talking about something that happened to me in 2014 - it was very traumatic but not only did I overcome this experience I came back ready to impact the world!

Here were the 5 things I've learnt from this experience and I hope it will help you as much as it has helped me. 

So 5 things I’ve learnt from all this to help you apply this in your daily lives - and you don't have to go through

 

  1. Making the choice consciously -

with all things in your life it all starts within yourself - you have to want to make the choice yourself consciously, you have to want the change - smokers won’t quit smoking with external factors hounding them - it has to be internally. So make the choice to change your life!

  1. Practice gratitude -

after going through this experience I have a much greater appreciate mainly because of the outcome - I was grateful that me and my parents walked out of that. But! How you can apply this to your life I found myself appreciating so much more, even the little things, the simple summer breeze the sun shining, being able to create this episode and being able to impact someone's life across the internet. So go over a few things you’d be grateful for and i'm 100% sure you can find something .

  1. Letting go and not holding on to something that had past.

- this was a tough one but letting go of something that happened to you in the past so you can move forward into the future. It took awhile to let go of this and one day I just said you know what this is not going to stop me! You cant change the past, it’s already happened so focus on the moment now and look towards the future. A great exercise for this is that you write down what you’ve been holding onto or something had happened to you write it down on a piece of paper then burn it! And throw it out! Its you letting go! It's you saying this is not going to take control of me.

  1. Loving yourself more.

Through all the meditation and learning and growing, I started to know myself more, I started to know what my strengths are and what my weaknesses are - and as gary vee always says double down on your strengths ! so take the time and look at yourself in the mirror and just stare into your reflection. And think about how far you’ve come, how much you’ve been through, and smile - notice everything about yourself and love yourself. Once you love yourself you can be able to feel wonderful in your own skin.

 

5) Start today!

Making the choice, being grateful, letting go, and loving yourself can start today! Make the choice today! I know that each person has their own path to walk. Their own journey, their own quest. But even if you make the choice today I’m sure you can live a much happier life. I know I’m a lot happier putting all these things in place.
